HAMPA is a non-profit organization that supports the students of the Hollidaysburg Area School District, it encourages its members to regularly volunteer their time to help it accomplish its mission. Parent involvement is a key ingredient to the success of the Hollidaysburg Music and Drama programs.

Why Should I Do This?

The primary reason for the booster organization is to support the students. The excellent musical talents and showmanship of the students is a reason you should participate as and active member of HAMPA through volunteering. The friendships you will make and the enjoyment of participating in a wonderful organization are other benefits you will realize. But first, and foremost, this is for your children and his/her classmates.

What Can I Do?

There are many ways you can be an active member of HAMPA. One of the most important things you can do is to attend our HAMPA meetings. These meetings occur the first Monday of every month at 7pm in the SH Band Room from September-May (no meeting in December). These meetings are where you should ask questions and voice your concerns and ideas about the organization’s activities. This is also where you will learn more about the program and where it needs your help. It is a terrific way to keep up to date on all the activities your child is involved in.

Additional ways you can be active are by participating in fundraisers; volunteering at concerts, plays, other performances and parades; volunteering as a chaperone and be an important part of assisting with uniforms/costumes, attending trips and events, helping with the “behind the scenes” of the half time shows, and so much more. Most importantly we need your help volunteering in our concession stands. Our concessions supply our organization with most of the funds we use to operate our booster club, and without the help of wonderful volunteers as yourself, our program would not be as successful as it is today. WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Do They Really Need Me?

There are over 500 families in HAMPA, however there are an exceedingly small handful that are active in volunteering. We can not do it alone; we need your help. Parental support and active participation are VITAL to our Music/Drama programs success! Please do not wait, get involved today!
