Stephanie Everett is both the Sr. High Orchestra and HARP (Hollidaysburg Area Repertory Players) director at HAHS. Mrs. Everett earned both her BS in Music Education and an MA in Music Performance (violin) from IUP. Mrs. Everett later went on to earn her certification in both secondary English and Communications. She has been a teacher in the district since 1990. Mrs. Everett is also very involved with the Altoona Symphony Orchestra and serves as principal second violinist and co-director of the Altoona Youth Orchestra with Kelly Detwiler (AASD.) In addition to music and drama courses, Mrs. Everett is passionately dedicated to Tiger TV at the Sr. High school, and produces a variety of video features throughout the year for the district.
During her tenure at the Hollidaysburg Area Sr. High School, Mrs. Everett has innovated many new creative opportunities for her students including the “Rockin the Strings” concerts, the addition of Chamber Strings Ensemble to the curriculum, additional Guitar courses and movie writing/production projects.
In her free time, Mrs. Everett maintains her YouTube channel, “The Suburban Chateau,” which features topics such as home decor, antiques, collecting, crafting and positive mindset/thinking. She is happily married to her husband, Steve, and they have raised two incredibly talented daughters, Sarah and Grace.
