Majorettes

Welcome to the Hollidaysburg Area Majorette Team!
The Hollidaysburg Majorettes are an elite twirling group that performs with the band, school events, and competes throughout Pennsylvania. The majorettes are required to use their dance, musical, and twirling skills to perform routines. The team consists of beginner twirlers that are just learning the skill all the way to the national winning level.  When twirling for the school, we have basically two seasons: football and indoor.

Football season is primarily our time with the band. This typically takes place during the summer and the first two marking periods of the school year. The majorettes will perform at athletic events, parades, community events, and additional school events. The Hollidaysburg Area Junior High Majorettes include twirlers with grades 7th-8th.  The Hollidaysburg Area Senior High Majorettes include twirlers from grades 9th-12th.

Indoor season begins immediately after football season and will continue until the early spring. Indoor is our competition time. The majorettes are broken up into two teams: JV and Varsity. The teams are typically created based on a skill set that is determined during a small tryout.  The teams will then learn an approximately 3-minute routine that they will perform at competitions all throughout Pennsylvania. During the 2021-2022 school year, both teams went undefeated for the entire season!
